You can apply Witch Hazel on your cold sores, this will give you some relief. Dip your moist finger in the powdered common (witch hazel) salt and press the cold sore for 45 seconds using your finger. You can also gently rub aloe vera oil on your sores, this will also help them heal much faster. Lemon balm extract also helps to reduce symptoms and speeds up healing in cold sores. People who have weak immune systems will take more time to heal and may face more severe cold sore problems.
